It's that moment. I can tell. And when I checked the date this morning I was on point. This is the week of University and TAFE offers for many of you younger readers of my blog. No matter what offer you do get know this, everything is going to be fine. Super Duper in fact.
Why? Because here's the thing people generally don't focus on 'til now - research and hard work doing what you love will not only get you to where you want to be in your life and career but will be the reason why you thrive.
I touched on this topic around exam time. I gave some examples of people who made the most of their opportunities despite their final grates. My brother who didn't initially get the grades for Medicine ended up getting into his course a few years later because he worked relentlessly in his Science Degree while also sitting tests and attending interviews to every University in the country year after year. Then there was my friend Belinda who wanted to be an optometrist. A slight change of course in her life yet still focused on her passion lead her owning her own eye wear businesses and hiring optometrists instead of being one.
So many people have told me what their ideal life would look like - the ones who ended up where they or are on their way did two things 1. researched their career thoroughly - be it speaking to people in their careers, working alongside them in junior roles or reading up about them (or all I just mentioned) and 2. they practiced their passion in every way.
When you check you University placements this week, whether you get in or not - you have a world of choices for you. The opportunities are there. You just have to keep working at it and a lot of the time create them for yourselves. You deserve every success. The future is bright if you want it to be.
