I'm in love with Berlin. I now know why people's eyes light up when they speak of this city. A city I'm still discovering. When people tell me about Berlin they instantly gush over the people, the art scene, the creativity. I've been here just over a day and I hit the ground running; made new friends and accompanied them to a giant warehouse space to see an art exhibition of work by Kevin Earl Taylor, JR, Jonathan Yeo, and Shepard Fairey. The space doubled as a pop-up restaurant with some of the city's top chefs - the ox cheek and salmon were exquisite, delicate. The music from local DJs, singers and bands - excellent. My night ended at about 5am. I've spent most of today enjoying a Sunday feast and meditating. Despite being wowed by a new city I'm slightly frustrated. Today was supposed to be the first of the Media Talks podcast series. Last week I had a mad few days amending the audio mix. It got til Friday evening in the London office - staring at the glowing screen of my laptop wondering why during playback all the voices I had recorded were a blaring incoherence through my headphones. Even after making perfect presets for each guest. My mind had enough. I had to tell myself to stop and revisit it when I was back in London. So in short I'll deliver it to you when I'm satisfied - which hopefully begin broadcast by early next week. Apologies.
Expect an update on Berlin over the next few days. I'll be immersing myself in history, art and architecture tomorrow. Hence why there's only this feature image post meditation and not of some grand structure like the Reichstag.
