I threw a Pumpkin Carving party the other week. A lot of Aussie friends showed up, in fact I think everyone was an ex-pat that night, and many who didn't know where to begin when it came to carving a pumpkin for Halloween.
Let's start simply 'eh? Here's how to carve a Jack-O-Lantern.
What you'll need:
1. Draw your Jack-O-Lantern Face and create a lid at the top of your pumpkin with any design you want.
2. Scrape out pulp and save seeds for roasting(roast the seeds in butter at 300 degrees F/ 150 degrees C for 45 mins)
3. Carve away with hand saw. Place a tea light inside. And hey presto!
Here's some other pumpkin designs for you to draw inspiration from...
Artist, Kevin Lyons turned his pumpkins to look like Garfield's face.

And if you want to get fancy, our creative assistant Madeleine Jelfs sourced a cool blog that uses pumpkins as vases for gorgeous flower arrangements.
